If you're looking for a challenge for your little ones, this is it. Several games included in this brainteaser package.
"Bodhi - Cognitive Fun offers to help sharpen your memory, attention, and
thought processes through a series of practice games taken from
standard psychological tests. Widely used by psychological and
neuropsychological researchers and clinicians, these tests measure
essential cognitive skills. Bodhi - Cognitive Fun's games turn the tests
into exercises which let you flex and strengthen those mental muscles.
There are five games in all, each of which measures a key cognitive ability:
Dual
N Back : This game focuses on a particular memory task called dual
n-back. An important scientific journal has shown that this task may
actually improve working (or short term) memory and fluid intelligence.
These findings are important because fluid intelligence was previously
thought to be unchangeable.
Corsi Block Tapping (Forward and
backward) : Also known as the Corsi Span Test, this psychological test
is commonly used to determine the visual-spatial memory span and the
implicit visual-spatial learning abilities of an individual. The test is
be used to measure both short-term and long-term spatial memory.
Stroop
Color: The Stroop Task is a psychological test of our mental
(attentional) vitality and flexibility. The task takes advantage of our
ability to read words more quickly and automatically than we can name
colors. The cognitive mechanism involved in this task is called directed
attention, you have to manage your attention, inhibit or stop one
response in order to say or do something else.
Math Processing: Do simple arithmetic quickly, designed to improve your processing skills.
Letter
Digit Substitution: The simple responses generated in substitution
tests depend on the integration of complex neuropsychological processes,
including visual scanning, mental flexibility, sustained attention,
psychomotor speed, and speed of information processing."
